Actually, I doubt that this is going to be anything close to a soliloquy, I just don’t know what to title today’s blog.  It happens.

I am finally starting to feel better, which means I may actually get back on track for blogging every day.  I went to the rheumatoid on Thursday and it didn’t got as I expected.  Actually, nothing went as expected.  The receptionist knew who I was right off by my purple hair and Avenged Sevenfold t-shirt.  She put it together with the Beast and the Harlot ringback tone on my phone.  As I was filling out my paperwork I noticed the award plaques on the wall naming him one of the best doctors in the DC area for rheumatology.  I got my hopes up and they weren’t shattered.

Now, he’s not convinced just yet that I have lupus based on the picture of the rash that I showed him.  He did confirm that I have fibromylagia and gave me yet another pain med.  Now I have the fibro drug itself, pain meds for arthritis, and pain meds for fibro.  One would think that with my other meds add to it that I would have a colorful drug cocktail to take twice a day, but that’s not the case.  Everything is either white or some shade of blue-gray or urine yellow.  I am disappointed that everything isn’t more colorful when put together.

While he was poking around he hit the sorest spot on my body, which happens to be on the outside of my hip.  Yea, I nearly screamed in pain.  Guess what?  I know know what is wrong with my hip.  It has a name.  Bursitis.  I have had untreated bursitis in my hip for 5 to 6 years, minimum.  He ordered x-rays to see how much damage had been done.  When I went for the x-rays Friday, the tech that introduced herself to me as Jennifer should have introduced herself as the Bitch with an Attitude Problem.  She’s really lucky I didn’t punch her.  Anyone who makes Doctor House look like an angel should not be working in health care.  Anyway, the doctor gave me a cortisone shot in my hip and told me to stay off it for a few days.  It hurt like hell the day after the shot but it’s feeling better.  There is still pain, but it’s better and I don’t feel like the pain is going to kill me.

The pain may kill my 11 year old though.  At least it sounds like it is.  We had him at Urgent Care yesterday because of severe pain on his left side that causes him to scream.  The Urgent Care doctor has no idea what the problem is.  She said it might be muscular-skeletal (doubt it) or a small kidney stone that didn’t show up on the x-ray.  Whatever it is, it’s not good because since he was at Urgent Care he’s started puking.

EA still hasn’t done anything about the porn and harassment (that is a link to my Sims 3 site that talks about everything) that is going on in the Sims 3 forum.  The forum community is of the opinion that if they continue to report everything that the forum will be closed down to posting images.  Yea, people are more concerned about their ability to post images from their game than they are about reporting illegal activity.  EA really needs to do something about it all.  This entire “ignore it and it will go away” attitude that everyone is taking is making the situation worse.  If the troll, who is currently going by the name ufonoid, doesn’t get attention right away he posts things more and more obnoxious to make people pay attention to him.  When EA removes him, he just gets on chat and tells them he lost his serial number and they give him a new one.  The situation is, in part, one of their own creation.  I don’t understand how one company can be so irresponsible and care so little about the people who have made them the successful gaming company they are.  The majority of the games that I buy come from EA and, because I have seven kids and many of them play games put out by EA, I end up purchasing multiple copies.  I am seriously considering not purchasing anything else from EA until they get their shit together. I really wish other members of the community would do the same, but I doubt that is going to happen. People in the Sims 3 forums don’t seem to understand the seriousness of what is going on, I doubt that there would be any support for a major boycott of EA until they started enforcing their own TOS, but I can hope, right?

Speaking of all things EA…I picked up my pre-order of Sims Medieval the other day.  I paid for it with trade in credit and a coupon from my Power Up account.  It’s an interesting game and I love the medieval aspect of it, but there are a few things that they could have done better such as camera control.  The game doesn’t have the extended cameras that The Sims has always had where you can do everything from a birds-eye view to looking at things from the bottom up.

I have also been playing Pokemon White on my DSi.  I want to know who thought of this new generation of Pokemon.  Do we really need Snot Bear?  He’s just kind of gross.  Are all the original ideas for Pokemons used up?

I know, I know, no one came here to listen to me go on about this, that and the other thing.  You want the cute bunny picture of the day.
